Contract Position Offered Under the Canada Summer Jobs Programme
Digital and Traditional Marketing and Promotions: activities would include website updates, regular social media monitoring and posting, media releases (assisted), member outreach. The candidate will assist in implementation of a major membership recruitment programme, the marketing and execution of the Watershed Trust’s 25th Anniversary event, and will assist in the preliminary marketing and implementation of the annual “See the Salmon” event which will be held in September, and the “Be The Change” Film Series scheduled for Fall-Winter 2020-21. The candidate will be supervised by Watershed Trust Volunteers who have experience in fields of work related to these activities.
The candidate will also attend all Board and Committee meetings and outside events, and will be encouraged to actively participate. They will gain invaluable knowledge about environmental issues and advocacy from our members, most of whom have a professional background in these areas.
The work will be undertaken in both an office and outdoor environments. Walking, stair-climbing and hiking will be involved.
Some weekends or evenings may be required.
