As Senior Project Engineer within Waitaki District Council’s 3 Waters Team, you’ll be responsible for leading the efficient and effective delivery of capital projects for water, wastewater and stormwater to sustain and improve our community’s quality of life.

The position
As Senior Project Engineer based in our Oamaru office, you’ll be responsible for leading delivery of the 3 Waters Design and Construction Portfolio by ensuring projects assigned from the team’s capital works programme are cost-effectively designed, planned, procured, constructed and commissioned.

About you
You’ll be an experienced and qualified project manager, ideally with specific expertise in the 3 waters sector, with experience in successfully managing and mentoring staff. You’ll have proven contract management skills – including contract document preparation, tender evaluation and contractor supervision. Your excellent communication, leadership and relationship management skills will be vital in your day-to-day dealings with your team, contractors, key stakeholders, industry professionals, and the public.
