Purposes of this position
The Centre for Water Technology and Policy at the University of Hong Kong is looking for a technical writer, from as soon as possible. The technical writer will work with a team of researchers on an inter-disciplinary research project being undertaken by the Centre on behalf of an external client. He/She will help write and edit a set of case reports of varying lengths, with guidance and assistance provided by the research team. The technical writer will be hired by the Centre as a service provider and will be paid on a project basis. The rate of remuneration is negotiable.

The Centre for Water Technology and Policy conducts cutting-edge research on water science, technology and policy issues pertaining to the broader urban sustainability agenda. The Centre is dedicated to pursuing excellence in research and teaching on water policy-technology interface issues, and to reaching out to the larger community to stimulate discussion on salient research findings.
Qualifications
Applicants for this position should possess a master’s degree in an environmental studies-related discipline or water resources management studies-related discipline; with at least 5-7 years of experience in professional report writing and editing; a good track record in conducting research relating to urban water policy issues; an ability to work independently in a team setting; and an ability to deliver quality work with tight deadlines.
