Sheladia is currently seeking a Water Safety Plan Specialist for a position in Cambodia. This position requires 4 person months of input. This project is for Capacity Development to Support New Initiatives for the Second Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Sector. The objectives of this project will include design, procurement, and construction supervision; which will include the development and implementation of new sanitation initiatives such as latrine solutions for lake-based communities and sustainable latrine emptying, treatment and disposal to support capacity development and implementation of the project, including the progressive mainstreaming of climate change adaptation and disaster risk management.
The minimum requirements for this position:
- Degree in Engineering, Science or related field
- 10 years of experience water supply and sanitation
- 5 years of experience in rural sector
- Experience in the development and implementation of water (and sanitation) safety plans for urban and rural settings
- Experience on projects financed my multilateral development agencies would be an advantage
- Previous experience working on projects in Southeast Asia
- ADB and Cambodia/Vietnam/Laos/Thailand experience
