Assistant Research Officer (holding the title of Programme Manager) in the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref.: 500351) (to commence as soon as possible thereafter until August 31, 2022)

The appointee will work in the Jockey Club Water Initiative on Sustainability and Engagement (JC-WISE) project under the Faculty of Social Sciences.  The project aims at raising the public’s awareness and appreciation of the importance of attaining long-term water sustainability goals for Hong Kong.

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree, preferably a Master of Philosophy in Social Sciences or a related discipline, with an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese).  Those with a good track record in conducting research and public education projects in relation to water resources policy and/or water resources management issues are preferred.   The appointee is expected to work closely with the project’s Principal Investigator to manage and coordinate all aspects of the project’s operations, assist in overseeing, monitoring  programme development, implementation; and preparation of evidence-based professional documentation on programme impact assessment; and perform any other duties as assigned.
