Regional Programme Officer (South Asia)

WaterAid is looking for a Regional Programme Officer – South Asia, to play a vital role in our mission to transform lives with safe water, sanitation and hygiene in the world’s poorest communities. 

Working in the South Asia Regional Team within International Programmes, the Regional Programme Officer will:

  • Support effective planning, monitoring, evaluation and reporting processes in the region, in alignment with WaterAid’s core procedures and specific donor requirements;

  • Coordinate and contribute to capacity development, learning and research initiatives, in coordination with a range of internal and external stakeholders; and

  • Lead on establishing effective knowledge management and learning platforms and processes in the region.

To be successful, you’ll need to demonstrate: 

  • Significant experience of working in the development sector including country/community level experience and a commitment to human development and rights, especially for poor and marginalised people;

  • Demonstrable experience of programme management including project planning, progress monitoring, evaluation and reporting;

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to produce and disseminate effective communications materials and to collaborate remotely with multi-cultural teams.
