Project Background
Water Supply and Sanitation Collaborative Council’s (WSSCC) hosted by SNV developed a country engagement plan (CEP) for 2019 and 2020. Currently WSSCC engages in Ethiopia through a National Coordinator (NC) and an NC hosting agency (SNV) and through WSSCC’s GSF supported programme referred to as Ethiopia Sanitation and Hygiene Improvement Programme (E-SHIP), implemented through the Federal Ministry of Health (FMoH).
Thus, SNV Ethiopia is looking for dynamic and experienced consultancy firm to conduct Hygiene and environmental health sector coordination platform analysis
Job Description
Conduct Hygiene and Environmental Health sector coordination platform analysis to identify existing platform/s which are most relevant for sanitation and hygiene coordination; existing blockages for the existing Task Force & platforms; major Interventions in Ethiopia; and analyze the reason why the challenges of coordination taskforces and platforms are still existent and propose recommendations.
Qualifications
The firm shall have the following technical expertise team composition:
· A team leader/ lead researcher
· Two (2) Qualitative data collectors
Qualifications
· Master in Public Health with an environmental health background for both lead researcher and the data collectors
Work experience:
· At least 10 years of research experiences and can present strong evidence for similar assignment with
· Excellent analytical, organizational, report writing and data collection skills.
· Experience in the WASH sector, particularly sanitation, is an advantage.
·Experience and knowledge of the latrine technology options in Ethiopia.
· Technical Knowledge of the theories, principles and methods of sanitation technologies with a focus on existing local latrine technology options in Ethiopia.
