General Duties:
The City of Minneapolis is seeking highly motivated, flexible and creative thinkers to join the Surface Water & Sewer and Transportation Planning & Programming Divisions of Public Works to facilitating inclusion of urban greening and green infrastructure into City-wide and regional transportation projects.  The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of storm water management related to improving water quality and/or reducing flood risk, functional green infrastructure design, public realm greening, and transportation planning to support a wide range of project activities, including development, analysis, review, and implementation of green infrastructure in association with transportation projects, plans, programs and systems.  This position will be expected to work with other Public Works' Divisions, other City departments, residents, property owners, businesses, members of the community, non-profits, elected officials, and other regional agencies.

Qualifications
Education:  Bachelor's Degree in Planning, Urban Design, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or a closely related field or equivalent; 

Experience:  
Five years of professional experience in engineering, transportation planning, landscape architecture, urban design, environmental sciences, or a related field which has included exposure to the practices and procedures of the phases of urban design projects, transportation, storm water management and design, public realm design, and experience within a regulatory framework.
