Summary
The incumbent will be assigned to the Food Animal Environmental System Research Unit (FAESRU) in Bowling Green, KY. The incumbent will perform modeling studies to predict incidental and legacy P losses from the Western Lake Erie Basin using historical data collected by ARS in Columbus OH. The incumbent will also perform laboratory phosphorus sorption and desorption experiments.

Responsibilities
- Major responsibilities include organizing and formatting existing data to machine-readable format, calibrating and testing of P loss models, and identifying model limitations and areas for model improvement.
- Utilize the model to evaluate impact of different management strategies in reducing phosphorus loss in the Western Lake Erie Basin.
- Organize and publish research results in peer-reviewed journals.
