Job Duties:
Provide technical support to senior scientists and project managers with a variety of tasks, including: using multi-dimensional hydrodynamic computer models to simulate hydrologic and hydraulic conditions; using multi-dimensional groundwater and unsaturated flow models to simulate groundwater conditions; generating model output summaries in tabular, graphical and GIS-map formats; and installing, downloading and managing field instrumentation associated with climatological, groundwater and surface water data collection. Utilize computer spreadsheets and databases to manage scientific data and to generate tabular and graphical data summaries. Utilize GIS to perform spatial analyses and to generate customized map outputs.
Requirements:
Master’s degree in civil engineering or environmental engineering, EIT license; and skills in using HEC-RAS, HEC-RAS 2D, HEC-GeoRAS, SMS, AutoCAD and ArcGIS.
