Funded Level 9 Masters Degree by research specialising in the environmental field and most specifically in river sediment analysis and modelling, sediments and water quality. The successful researcher will be based in the School of Civil and Structural Engineering and the Sustainable Infrastructure Research & Innovation Group at Cork Institute of Technology.
This large scale project funded through the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) will involve the analysis and modelling of hydrological and sediment impacts associated with Forestry operations in Ireland and will include instrumentation and data collections at a range of river catchments sites, hydrological modelling and sediment sampling and analysis.
Skills/Qualifications
The position is open to graduates of Level 8 Honours Engineering Degree Programmes (e.g. Structural or Civil) or to graduates of Level 8 Honours Science Degree Programmes (e.g. Environmental Science). A minimum of a Second Class Honours Grade 2 is required.
