6th Cycle Call for Proposals

On behalf of Global Water Challenge (GWC), we encourage your organization to submit a proposal for the New World Program’s (NWP) 6th Cycle Call for Proposals. The NWP is a partnership between GWC and The Coca-Cola Foundation that encourages participation of civil society organizations to create innovative, inclusive, and sustainable solutions for the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the areas of Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH); Women’s Empowerment; and Waste Management (e.g. marine litter, recycling, and sustainable packaging). In the 6th Cycle, NWP aims to build sustainable communities throughout Eurasia, the Middle East and Africa in support of achieving the SDGs. Eligible countries include: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Egypt, Ethiopia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Nigeria, Pakistan, Romania, Turkey and Ukraine. Funding levels are USD $100,000-200,000 per project.

Key documents for your submission include: 

  1. Application (Use Template in Guidelines – Annex 1, Page 18)
  2. Partnership Statement and Description of Partners (See Guidelines – Annex 2)
  3. Declaration by the Lead Applicant (See Guidelines – Annex 3)
  4. NWP Indicator Spreadsheet (Use NWP Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Guidelines (Appendix E) to complete)
  5. NWP Budget (Use Template Appendix A or B according to UN-Entity status)

Some important points regarding the application forms are as follows:

  • Applicants must follow the templates provided for proposal submission;
  • Applications must be completed in English;
  • Applicants must have a signed declaration by the Lead Applicant (See Guidelines – Declaration by the Lead Applicant – Annex 3) in order to be considered; and
  • GWC may request additional information and/or supporting documents for the clarification of proposals (See Guidelines – List of Supporting Documents – Annex 4).

All required materials must be submitted to GWC in the submission button below or via email ([email protected]no later than midnight EDT on Friday, June 19, 2020. In advance of that time, if your team intends to submit a proposal, we ask that you also send an indication of such and any related inquiries via email by Friday, May 29, 2020. The New World team looks forward to reviewing your application package and is happy to answer any questions that you might have in the meantime.
