Job Purpose
The Department of Environmental Affairs and Development Planning, Western Cape Government has an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to ensure provision of standard litigation, legal and legislation services to the department. This position is based in Cape Town.
Minimum Requirements
An appropriate 4 year tertiary qualification in Law (LLB, B.Juris or B.Proc degree or higher) ; A minimum of 3 years’ management experience.
Recommendation
Admitted as an attorney or advocate of the High Court, who has duly completed the Law Society of South Africa board examinations or national bar examination.
Key Performance Areas
Manage the following: litigation matters involving the department; Standard functional and operational legal support; Legislation development; Performance and information management and reporting; Manage the operation of the subdirectorate.
