The research focuses on cooperative research approaches and action-research tools aimed at deep community learning, with the ultimate purpose of making urban communities more resilient in the face of climate change and its effects on the urban water cycle. Within the Framework of the LIFE SimetoRES project and in collaboration with an existing network of schools and organizations from the Simeto Valley, the research aims at the experimentation of community-based techniques for hydrological risk analysis and the co-production of strategies for hydraulic invariance, including blue-green infrastructures. The research also aims at evaluating these techniques on the basis of their efficacy in promoting awareness at the level of the large public as well as of local institutions.
