The Working Wetlands project is one of the largest natural catchment management schemes in the South West to improve water quality and build the resilience and sustainability of 6 major catchments across Devon as part of South West Water’s Upstream Thinking programme.

Working alongside South West Water and the Westcountry Rivers Trust, you will deliver an ambitious programme of water quality monitoring across the Upstream Thinking catchments in Devon. You will provide specialist advice on farming-related water quality issues to the rest of the team and will need a strong understanding of all catchments.

Supporting and working with landowners across Devon, the project aims to restore the water quality and ecological health of a number of key catchments including the Tamar, the Dart and the Exe.

The project is funded by South West Water. This post is being offered as a part-time (30 hours per week), permanent role with DWT, but initially the secured funding for the project is until March 2025.  The post is based at Aldens Court, Alphington, Exeter.

We can offer you good terms and conditions, flexible working arrangements and a great office environment.  The successful candidate will be joining a team of committed, hardworking and friendly colleagues. This is a great opportunity to take the next step in your career within a leading Devon charity.

We are advertising four posts in the Working Wetlands project suiting candidates with varying levels of knowledge and experience.  Please check the DWT website for further information.
