The Role

Oxfam in Kenya, in collaboration with LeFil Consulting, a company limited by guarantee that offers top-notch business consulting to solve social problems such as poor access to water and sanitation, seek to contribute to a paradigm shift on how rural water infrastructure is installed, managed and paid for in the Arid and Semi -Arid Lands (ASALs) of Kenya.  The Parties co-developed a model that seeks to optimize and reduce operation and maintenance (O&M) expenses and improve the quality and lifespan of rural water infrastructure. The concept revolves around bundling several rural water schemes in a region, contracting a private operator to perform their O&M, and instituting a dedicated public fund to pay for O&M expenses.

The purpose of the proposed research is to identify key opportunities to strengthen the economic rights of marginalized women in Kenya.

What we are looking for

Oxfam is seeking a qualified firm or individual consultant to undertake water system audit for selected water systems in Turkana and Nyeri Counties. The proposed consultancy requires conducting formative research analytics and due diligence on water supply systems.
