Tender for the Recruitment of a Consultant to Assess the African Water Association Membership Needs

The African Water Association (AfWA) is launching an invitation to tender for the recruitment of a consultant to undertake a study to identify its members’ needs. This offer is open to individual experts or firms as long as they demonstrate the qualifications, experience and skills to conduct a professional and satisfactory evaluation.

I. OBJECTIVE OF THE CONSULTATION

The purpose of this study is to assess the capacity building needs of the AFRICAN WATER ASSOCIATION (AfWA) members according to their different categories, taking into account:

a) Those regularly committed to the Association’s activities;

b) Those who were committed at one point in time and subsequently left the Association,

c) Numerous potential members that have never been contacted or engaged with AfWA.

The evaluation should also highlight how AfWA currently manages its members’ needs, as well as the impact of the Association’s activities on its members.

Overall, the study will be a comprehensive and inclusive process involving current AfWA members and other stakeholders. The outcomes will contribute to the revision of the AfWA’s 2018-2022 Strategic Plan of Activities and will be critical to the overall work planning by the different directorates. Moreover, the evaluation will provide useful information for the preparation of the AfWA 2018-2022 Action Plan for, in order to ensure the relevance of upcoming activities and appropriately respond to the needs of members and other stakeholders.
