WSP are seeking Senior Water and Flood Risk Consultants to continue the growth of experts in our London offices. The successful candidates will help deliver a broad range of water environment services for the most significant transport and infrastructure projects in the UK.
We support clients and projects throughout the UK with a focus on high profile rail and highway projects, and regularly provide support to Lead Local Flood Authorities to help meet their obligations under the Flood and Water Management Act.
Our water engineering staff are technical leaders, proactive, responsible and collaborative. The successful candidates will become a key part of this national team, dedicated to delivering innovative, lasting solutions to the highest profile challenges faced by our clients.
A typical week would include:
- Working on a wide variety of water environment and flood risk projects
- Helping to develop our offering in these strategically important areas and progress to more senior roles
- Being responsible for technical, management and commercial aspects of projects.
We are committed to finding the right candidates for this position and would consider flexible working for the right individual whose ambitions align with our values and goals.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Chartered Engineer or Chartered Water and Environmental Manager (or working towards).
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Technical expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Environmental Impact and Water Framework Directive assessment;
- Flood Risk Assessment;
- Fluvial hydraulic modelling;
- River engineering and scour assessment;
- Sustainable foul and surface water drainage design
- Commercial experience, including project management and bid preparation.
- Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.
- Relevant experience of delivering infrastructure projects or working with local authority/national government.
- Drive and ability to build client relationships and develop suitable opportunities.
Experience of working with local authorities and rail/highway projects would be highly advantageous.
