BACKGROUND:
Institute for Development Support (IDS), Dehradun is recruiting a MHH and ODF Plus Consultant to provide technical support to WSSCC’s MHH and ODF plus capacity building initiatives at national, state and district level in India.
OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION:
- The selected candidate would work through short term consultancy contract with Institute for Development Support (IDS), Dehradun and will be based at Delhi.
- Candidates who meet the required qualifications and experience are invited to apply in reply to an announcement, following which a desk review of their skills and experience will be done to see their suitability asMHH & ODF Plus Consultant-

LOCATION:
At present base location would be Delhi with frequent travel to other states and districts as per the work requirement.
KEY ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinationwith line departments to accelerate MHH and ODF Plus activities at State and District level
- Provide technical support to State and District administration on Menstrual Hygiene & Health (MHH), and ODF Plus
- Participate in trainings atNational, State and Districtlevel and monitor the trainings
- Managing and coordinating with Trainersfor trainings and related activities
- Compile, review and finalize training reports received from Trainers
- Conduct training assessment surveys
- Follow up with concerned authorities and participants post trainings on action plans
- Support in any other work related to MHH and ODF plus as and when required
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
The following qualifications will be required from prospective interested candidate:
- Graduate/Post Graduate degree in any discipline. (Preferably social work or rural development)
- Min. 5Years’ experience of working in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene sector, Menstrual Hygieneand Health, Women and Child Development, Community mobilization,Social and Behavioral Change Communication (SBCC), Capacity buildingwould be an additional asset.
- Relevant experience in workshop facilitationis preferable.
COMPETENCIES:
- Ability to travel, including to remote and rural areas on short notice. Thorough understanding of gender, menstrual hygiene management and equality and non-discrimination.
- Report writing (including data collection) and communication skills
- Ability to gather, monitor and analyze the data and prioritize the action
- Facilitation skills as per participatory methodologies
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Proficiency in computer applications
- Able to produce results and work in a changing environment.
LANGUAGES:
- Strong speaking and writing skills in Hindi and English. Additional regional language is an asset.
REMUNERATION:
- Remuneration would be commensurate with the skill andexperience of the candidate.
