This position is located in the Northern Region, Idaho Panhandle National Forests, St. Joe Ranger District.
This position serves as a technical assistant in the performance of a variety of hydrology tasks, either as a crew member or individual worker.

Responsibilities
- Duties listed are at the full performance level of the position.
- Serves as a senior hydrologic technician performing semi-professional work in support of professional engineers and hydrologists.
- Field work includes the installing, testing and maintaining of hydrologic and water quality instruments measuring precipitation, streamflow, stage, dissolved oxygen, pH, conductivity, turbidity, suspended solids, etc.
- Clearly communicate, manage complex projects, and collaboratively participate as a team member.
- Collects and notates all data records relative to corrections that need to be made when the data is processed. Performs a variety of computations and analysis of water resource data.
- Watershed restoration project development, grant writing support, project design, project management, and monitoring.
