Job description

The NEP outlines various options for rural electrification. In addition to the extension of the national grid, solar home systems and decentralized mini-grids are being implemented in off-grid areas that will not be connected to the main grid for at least 10 years. The isolated power generation and distribution systems are expected to play a vital role in the NEP off-grid rollout. GIZ’s Promotion of Rural Electrification project is working to deliver technical assistance to public and private sector stakeholders to promote Micro and Mini Hydropower Mini Grids.
