Job Summary

AECOM International Development is seeking multiple long and short-term experts in climate change adaptation and mitigation for anticipated USAID-funded projects in Latin America.

Positions require at least eight years of experience in managing and implementing international development program in Latin America in the following technical areas: Water resources management and planning, infrastructure investments, urban planning, Low Emission Development Strategies (LEDS), climate change adaptation policy, or related areas.

Local candidates from Peru and Colombia are encouraged to apply.

Minimum Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Environmental Studies, Water Engineering, Natural Resource Management, policy, or related fields.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience working in climate change adaptation and/o mitigation issues and water resources management in Peru and/or Colombia.

  • Demonstrated experience working with policy makers to link national policy to local-level climate change adaptation and mitigation interventions

  • Practical experience working with a variety of program counterparts including government, research institutions, private sector, and donor community, among other relevant actors.

  • Experience with USAID programs and/or other international donor organizations.

  • Designing and implementing Low Emissions Development Strategies (LEDS)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluency in speaking, reading and writing Spanish. Proficiency in English is desirable
