East Gippsland Catchment Management Authority (Authority) provides integrated management of land and water resources within the region. The Authority is also responsible for the planning and delivery of river health works and statutory activities.
The Board is seeking to appoint a Chief Executive Officer on a five-year fixed term contract. The key purpose of this role is to support the Board to successfully deliver the strategic plan and obligations set by the Minister, to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders and to lead a high performing team.
To be successful you will be a community driven leader with outstanding financial and business acumen. Your demonstrated ability for people management at the highest level will be well established along with your record in natural resource management (NRM). Critical to your success is your working knowledge of NRM policies and procedures and your proven experience working collaboratively with a Board.
You will have highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, a strong commitment to community engagement and an ability to develop strategies and responses to complex issues. Your ability to innovate, adapt to change and motivate your team, whilst maintaining a strong organisational culture will be key to your success.
