The Biological and Environmental Sciences and Engineering (BESE) Division at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), in collaboration with the Water Desalination and Reuse Center, invites applicants to apply for a Faculty position in Groundwater Hydrology.

The successful candidate will lead a cutting-edge research program that seeks to address critical problems in the management of the regions groundwater systems, as well as to explore research opportunities relevant to the water, oil and gas industries.

Applications are sought across a broad range of specializations. Candidates with expertise in aquifer storage and recovery, subsurface characterization and resource assessment, groundwater flow and transport, or groundwater engineering and subsurface systems are particularly encouraged to apply. An interdisciplinary background in geophysics, hydrogeology, hydrogeochemistry or geostatistics will be viewed favorably. Previous experience with groundwater management in water scarce regions is advantageous, as are complementary skills in numerical modeling, laboratory or field scale measurement and groundwater hydraulics and engineering.

Candidates should provide evidence of a high impact research program and have a commitment to teaching at the graduate level.
