PhD in water-smart solutions for reuse and resource recovery – health and quality risks assessment and control via EURAXESS

The 4-year PhD position is part of the EU-funded project “Achieving wider uptake of water-smart solutions (Wider Uptake)”. In this project, 18 partners will cooperate on the development of innovative symbiotic solutions based on water reuse and resource recovery. TU Delft will be working closely with Waternet and NPSP to develop a new bio-composite material made of by-products of water and wastewater treatment. The PhD candidate will develop a general procedure for the related assessment and control of health and quality risks, a sort of “Reuse Safety Plan” (equivalent of “Water Safety Plan”). This general procedure will be applied to Wider Uptake project case studies.
