The Department of Electrical Engineering in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (http://www.eecs.psu.edu) at the Pennsylvania State University invites applications for a tenure-line faculty position at the rank of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in the broad area of imaging spectroscopy, or hyperspectral imaging (HSI), with research applications in water resource sensing. This search is part of a Penn State cluster hire in water resources (https://iee.psu.edu/water), and the successful candidate will assume a key role in interdisciplinary research and teaching collaborations and be co-funded by Penn State’s Institutes of Energy and the Environment (http://www.iee.psu.edu/). The HSI position will enhance the role of remote sensing in campus-wide efforts investigating water resources. Excellent opportunities exist for candidates to interact with faculty on multidisciplinary projects through the Penn State Institutes of Energy and the Environment, Sustainability Institute, Center for Climate Risk Management, Institute for Computational and Data Sciences, Materials Research Institute, among others. Candidates must have a doctorate in electrical engineering, or a related discipline, completed before the start date of the position.
