We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced water quality technician for a permanent position in our Hamilton office. The position will mainly provide technical support for research and consultancy work focused on water quality and pollution control related to wastewater and effluent discharges, diffuse pollution and the development of natural treatment systems and mitigation measures involving algae ponds and floways, constructed wetlands and bioreactors.
You will need to have qualifications in an environmental science or a related field and several years’ relevant experience working in an environmental or science role. Previous laboratory experience would be an advantage and you must be confident using a range of water flow and water quality instrumentation. You will need to be able to work flexible hours and occasionally undertake fieldwork lasting several days away from Hamilton.
