Reports to: Water Team Manager
Salary: £19,000 per annum
Based: Wiltshire Wildlife Trust HQ, Devizes
Hours: Full time 37.5 hours/week – 12 month contract
The Water Team is recruiting for a full-time Field Officer for 12 months to support the Water Team Manager and Project Officers to prepare for and deliver a programme of river and wetland restoration projects and community engagement projects.
The successful candidate will be willing to put boots on and get their hands dirty, working outside in a range of weather conditions. They will be a confident communicator, able to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders (i.e. angling and farming communities or Natural England and the Environment Agency) in a professional and personable manner. The role requires competent IT and writing skills as there will be opportunity to gain experience within the office and with the project management side of the role, including preparing budgets, design drawings, permit applications and health and safety paperwork.
