The University of North Carolina Asheville Department of Environmental Studies invites applications for a Lecturer in Natural Resource Management to begin Fall 2020. This is a two-year position contingent upon a successful year one review. The teaching requirement includes 12 contact hours per semester (24 contact hours per academic year) in the area of Natural Resource Management, where major course responsibilities will include Soil Science, Agriculture, Energy and Society, and Introduction to Environmental Science. The successful candidate must hold an M.S. or Ph.D. in Soil Science, Natural Resource Management, or a related field. Familiarity with southern Appalachian soils, ecosystems, and agricultural practices is especially desired.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach 12 contact hours per semester, engage in service to the institution, the community and the profession, and ideally work with our students in some area of the discipline specific to their expertise.
