Geographer, environmental scientist or water engineer required to assist with project-based work including fieldwork (hydrology surveys, peat depth surveys, watercourse assessments) to support our expanding business in flood assessments, river modelling, water management, hydrology and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA). The role will be based in our central Edinburgh office and will also entail outdoor field work at project sites in the UK and Ireland. Office based work will include data analysis, field preparation and report writing to support ongoing projects.

Kaya Consulting Limited is a specialist, technical consultancy. We undertake flood and water management projects in the UK and overseas and specialise in mathematical modelling (hydraulics, sediment transport, water quality and waves), hydrological studies (desk and field based), environmental impact assessments (water and peat aspects) and water quality impact studies.

We wish to recruit a new or recent graduate, ideally with some work experience in the sector (although not essential). Candidates should be keen to work outdoors on site supporting a range of projects and ideally be numerate to help with office-based work (data analysis and/or GIS support). Writing skills are desirable, including the ability to input to technical reports and EIA reports. We are looking for smart, keen and hard-working individuals who are willing to work on a range of different projects, contributing to all aspects of our work.
