1. A combination of in-country and long-distance training and technical and strategic support on SEEA implementation is effectively provided, enabling the countries to take concrete steps towards publishing SEEA accounts;
March – December 2020. Specific timing of in-country support to be discussed and agreed with the countries.
Duties and Responsibilities
ESCAP seeks the expertise of one or more consultants to support expanded application of the System of Environmental-Economic Accounting (SEEA) and pilot studies on ocean accounting by countries in Asia and the Pacific.
Under the direct supervision of the Chief of the Economic and Environment Statistics Section and in consultation with relevant staff, the consultant(s) are required to provide long-distance and in-country support (approximately 10 days per country in total) through the planning and delivery of the following:
University degree or equivalent in statistics or related environmental sciences with emphasis on applied quantitative skills.
