About the role
BHP’s Executive Leadership team has endorsed Water Stewardship as a global priority for BHP and BHP’s global Water Stewardship initiative has been developed to deliver productivity, long-term business resilience and social value. In 2019, we released BHP’s Position Statement on Water Stewardship, which expresses BHP’s commitment to, and advocacy for water stewardship. Our approach includes taking action to strengthen water management within our business and catalyse actions to strengthen water governance beyond our operations and is underpinned by a Water Stewardship strategy. This is a permanent position based in the Melbourne office.
As the Practice Lead, Water Stewardship, you will report to the Vice President Environment and be involved in the engaging with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, on activities that will deliver our Water Stewardship Position Statement and strategy.

Additionally, you will also be responsible for preparing subject matter content for internal communications and external public disclosures on water-related risk and water stewardship, including the BHP Water Report.
