The University of Exeter is a World leader in Environment and Clean Growth with a significant range of academic, scientific and policy expertise, research and training offers. We are looking for an experienced, driven leader for the Sector Team who serve as the University’s expert professionals for building collaborations with commercial and non-commercial organisations in sectors as diverse as Water, Clean Energy, Bioeconomy, Agritech, Aquatech, Environmental Policy, Climate Change, international development and Circular Economy.
The successful candidate will have experience of working successfully with partners from across academic, public and private sectors and will have extensive knowledge of industry trends and research, education and knowledge exchange needs of the environment and clean growth sectors. They will be responsible for coordinating and driving existing activities in this area, identifying opportunities to deliver greater value to these sectors, working with researchers from across disciplines and colleges, and engaging with industry practitioners across the UK.
Innovation, Impact and Business (IIB) is the professional team that supports and drives this critical work. Its key aim is to secure significantly greater value and impact from relationships with partners drawing on the University’s education, research and physical assets. This includes research collaboration, commercial services, new venture development, skills, placements, and education partnerships. The Head of Environment and Clean Growth is a senior Impact and Partnership Development Manager and will work as part of the IIB Senior Management Group.
