Reporting to Udaya Kularathna, the Team Leader Water Resource Assessment you’ll have the opportunity to make a difference and add to our work environment, within a place where you can learn and perform to your fullest potential.
As the Water Resource Planning Analyst you’ll be responsible for water resource assessments and strategic inputs that inform policy initiatives of State Government such as water markets, water supply grid and water resource strategy development. You will also facilitate the development of modelling capability for integrated water resource assessment and the transition to new water resource modelling platform.

Your Skills and Experience
- A proficient technical knowledge and extensive experience in water resources planning, water resource policy and water allocation frameworks
- Demonstrated experience with modelling and assessment tools used for water resource assessment and planning including system simulation, optimisation and rainfall-runoff models
- Sound knowledge of catchment hydrology, environmental flow management and integrated water resource management
- Sound knowledge of regulatory environment as it applies to the water industry
- Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills
Your ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders is required together with a qualification in Civil or Environmental Engineering or Hydrology.
