The Computational Hydrology Lab in the Department of Earth Sciences and Department of Civil Engineering at Syracuse University (Syracuse, NY) seeks applications for a postdoctoral researcher with a background in hydrologic science. The position is broadly defined, with an intended focus on either (1) the intersection of hydrologic processes and stream temperature or (2) urban hydrology.
Candidates should hold a PhD in Earth Sciences, Civil Engineering, or a related field with a dissertation focused on physical hydrology or hydrogeology.
The ideal candidate will have: (1) Strong programming abilities (with preference for experience with R and/or Matlab), (2) some experience with hydrologic modeling, (3) the ability to function independently and as part of a team, (4) a desire to pursue interdisciplinary research
