U.K. nationals: Environment Planning Officer

Are you passionate about our rivers, lakes and coastal waters? Do you have an eye for detail? This role is critical to developing our evidence and our water management plans. You will need to think across disciplines and work across functions.
You will work with internal and external partners managing, interpreting and mapping data and information across catchments to help develop water environment opportunities. This includes supporting our WFD, Water Quality Monitoring and Bathing Water Programmes in Yorkshire Area.
 

IEP strengthens the evidence base and drives integrated delivery to achieve the best for the environment.
We work with other teams and national colleagues to shape ways of working, improve and update the catchment evidence base and agree integrated programmes. We are a friendly, challenging and supportive team with a great reputation for delivery.
 

Ideally you will be educated to degree level in environmental or related discipline and have experience of working with customers, analysing and managing data, updating IT systems and mapping outcomes.
A self-motivated individual with experience in or an understanding of the water environment and how to interpret, manage, develop and share data and information clearly, accurately and persuasively for a variety of purposes.
Other key requirements for this job include good time management, excellent team working skills, good attention to detail, the ability to deliver against deadlines and excellent computer skills.

Please note some travel to other offices and especially Leeds will be required. You will be expected to travel as part of the job to attend meetings, site visits and meet with partners throughout Yorkshire.
Although not essential, a driving licence would be useful.
