Job description

The IPT – Institute of Technological Research of the State of São Paulo offers a postdoctoral fellowship to investigate the interaction between surface water and groundwater systems in watershed scale, using integrated geophysical methods hydrological of electrical resistivity tomography (ERT), magnetic resonance sounding (MRS), well-logging techniques (electric, radiometric, density logs) as well as borehole testing techniques to determine aquifer hydrodynamical parameters (storativity, transmissivity and conductivity coefficients).

Applicant profile:
– Graduation in Geophysics or Geology;
– PhD in areas related to Applied Geophysics and Hydrogeophysics;
– The selected candidate must have proven experience in conducting field studies and interpretation of geophysical data in characterizing aquifer properties;
– Experience in developing computer codes for integrated geophysical modelling;
– Outstanding academic curriculum, verbal and written communication skills (in Portuguese and/or English). The publication history will also be considered in the analysis;
– Fulltime dedication to the project; and
– Proven experiences by means of previous published work and support letters will be required.
