Experience and Other Skills Required

All applicants must have a Ph.D. in watershed dynamics, aquatic/riparian ecology, environmental science or a directly related discipline by August 31, 2017.
All applicants must provide evidence of a record of scholarly and professional publications and external funding commensurate with the rank applied for. All applicants must provide some representative evidence of teaching. The candidate is expected to develop a nationally and internationally recognized, externally funded research program involving masters and doctoral students centered on integrated natural resource management.
The methodological approach and specialization is open, but the Program is interested in scholarship exploring at least one of the following areas: watershed dynamics, riparian studies including restoration, and/or aquatic biology.
ASSISTANT**Must be able to articulate a research agenda, have an emerging record of publications and external funding, excellent teaching skills and commitment to service.
ASSOCIATE** same as above with the following: Must have an established research agenda, a strong record of publications and external funding, excellent teaching skills with demonstrated effectiveness and a track record of service. Tenure is contingent on Board of Regents approval.

Description of Job Duties

Teach, advise, and mentor undergraduate and graduate students at the Main and Downtown campuses; participate in teaching courses in the Environmental Science Academic degree programs; pursue an active research, publishing, and external funding agenda; and serve the University, profession, and community.
