Job duties: Evaluation of the risk due to compound coastal flooding at regional and local scale under short-term prediction and climate change

In order to proceed with the formalisation of the contract once the selection process has been passed, the selected person must meet the requirements established in Article 15.5 of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2015, of 23 October, approving the revised text of the Workers’ Statute Law (amended by Royal Decree-Law 32/2021, of 28 December).

This contract for circumstances of production will have a duration of 6 months months (maximum of 6 months) and is signed in accordance with the provisions of section 1 and 2 of article 15 of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2015, which approves the revised text of the Workers’ Statute Law.

On schedule: 9:00 a 14:00 – 16:00 a 18:30


12853,02 (gross salary including the proportional part of the extra payments during the contract.).


Academic requirements

  • University studies (Civil Engineering (bachelor’s, master’s and bachelor’s degrees))
  • University studies (University Master’s Degree in Coasts and Ports)


  • Have Spanish nationality or have the nationality of a member state of the European Union or be from any of the states in which, by virtue of international treaties established by the E.U. and ratified by Spain, the free movement of workers is applicable. Likewise, applicants with a nationality other than that mentioned above may submit their application, provided they can prove that they are in possession of a work and residence permit at the time the contract is formalized.
  • To be in possession of the qualification required in this call. Documents issued abroad that are to be used in this procedure must be legalized in accordance with the current regulations (Management circular number 134).
  • Persons who have had an employment contract for access to the Spanish science, technology and innovation system, governed by article 22 of Law 14/2011 of 1 June on Science, Technology and Innovation of a duration equal to or greater than 5 years, taking into account the duration of this job offer, may not participate in the selection process.

At least four years of experience in developing coastal engineering projects, especially in: 1) Statistical analysis of extreme sea levels; 2) Use of artificial intelligence techniques to met-ocean variables; 3) Numerical modelling hydrodynamics (70)
