What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
- Perform in-depth aquatic field sampling protocol focusing on amphibians and invertebrates within freshwater pond ecosystems.
- Selected individual will perform the following duties:
- Macro and micro identification of amphibians, invertebrates, and parasites.
- Performing field sampling techniques such as but not limited to: dipnet, seine, visual survey, pathogen swabbing, camera-trap and transects.
- Necropsy of freshwater snails for parasite isolation.
- Data entry and analysis.
- Communicate regularly with PI and senior researcher assistant and assist in regular laboratory procedures and cleaning.

What We Require
- Selected motivated individual should have a background and/or high level of interest in herpetology, and/or aquatic biology.
- Candidate must be willing to work alone in high altitude, temperature extremes, and rough terrain.
- Backpaking and backcountry experiences, experiences in amphibian surveys and invertebrate dissection are desired.
- General laboratory and microscopy skills are required.
- Must have availability in spring and summer.
