Due to the ongoing success of our growing water services team, we are currently seeking an Associate / Principal Hydrogeologist to lead the winning and execution of projects for a wide range of commercial clients. This role can be based in either our Brisbane office or Sydney office.

In this role you will guide the delivery of environmental projects with a focus on statutory approval processes, construction management and environmental compliance.

As a leader in our water services team, this position offers an excellent variety of work and will see you involved in:

• Leading the technical delivery of projects for our clients
• Contributing to the strategic context for the business
• Seeking, evaluating, and pursuing business opportunities within the context of organisational goals and strategic goals
• Promoting the company to market through networks and active involvement in professional bodies
• Identifying cross-selling opportunities within Epic
• Presenting at industry forums as part of marketing Epic to the industry
• Technical reviews of complex reports / deliverables
• Providing detailed advice regarding environmental legislation and guidelines
• Acting as in-house technical expert for external parties

Understanding of NSW and/or QLD, and Commonwealth environmental legislation is a requirement for this role.


To be considered for this position, you will need to possess the following:

• Relevant tertiary qualification from a recognised institution, including a post-graduate qualification or professional certification
• A minimum of 8 years’ of demonstrated experience in groundwater studies, including groundwater monitoring, aqueous geochemistry, environmental assessments, groundwater resource assessments, and/or groundwater modelling
• Excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues concisely
• Extensive experience in field work and data collection
• Working knowledge of relevant NSW/QLD and Commonwealth environmental legislation
• Strong client relationships and business development skills
• Experience in surface water and hydrological assessments is desirable
• Desire to train and guide young professionals in technical disciplines
