The Manager, Basin Salinity Management oversees a small multidisciplinary team of people responsible for coordinating Victoria’s salinity and irrigation drainage programs. These programs seek to improve water quality and environmental outcomes and understand the impact of land management activities within irrigation areas. This position includes team management, strategic policy development and advice, state-wide program coordination and oversight, and representation on interjurisdictional committees.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

–  An appropriate qualification in natural resource management, science or related field is highly desirable.

–  Demonstrated knowledge and experience in program management, policy development and/or hydrology/hydrogeology is highly desirable.

This is a fixed term position available until April 2024. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
