We also coordinate APEM’s response to pollution incidents. A large, and growing, part of our work is algal bloom and taste and odour compound assessment and management.

About the role
In this role you will be undertaking water and sediment quality monitoring, analysis and interpretation. You will be supported by and working with more senior members of the team to provide input to projects and tenders and undertaking field work where required.
About you
Essential
- Degree or postgraduate degree in a relevant subject.
- Excellent Excel and Word skills.
- Excellent data management and analysis skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Driving licence.
Desirable
- 1-2 years relevant work experience.
- Knowledgeable in water and sediment quality assessment and management relating to one or more of the following: water quality impact assessments, modelling, reservoir management, catchment management, algal blooms, taste and odour, lake nutrient budgeting, and lake restoration.
