About the Role:
The Intergovernmental Support Officer oversees the provision of expert administrative support and secretariat services to senior state officers of the Murray-Darling Basin inter-jurisdictional committees. The role coordinates the provision of briefings and manages information in support of the inter-jurisdictional committees and the Water Security, Policy and Planning branch. The Intergovernmental Support Officer maintains effective working relationships with the Commonwealth and interstate intergovernmental units.

The Water Security, Policy and Planning Branch provides coordinated policy analysis and development for planning and management of the State’s water resources to support communities, industry and ecosystems. This enables a healthy, functioning River Murray, as well as a consistent and effective policy framework for the management of other water resources in prescribed and non-prescribed areas.
• May be required to participate in fire management or associated duties.
• A current class “C” driver’s licence and willingness to drive is desirable.
• May be required to undertake intra or interstate travel and work outside of the normal hours of work.
• This role has been designated as a Position of Trust pursuant to the standards required in the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework. Remuneration: ASO4 $74,315 min – $77,901 max p.a.
