Leschenault Catchment Council is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced person to fill its Healthy Estuaries Project Officer role based at their office in Bunbury. The role is a part time 0.5 FTE (18.75 hrs/week) position.
Launched in 2020 the Healthy Estuaries Program focuses on improving the health of the Peel-Harvey Estuary, Leschenault Estuary, Vasse-Geographe Waterways, Hardy Inlet, Wilson Inlet, Torbay Inlet and Oyster Harbour. The program aims to reduce nutrient inputs from priority catchments, using the latest science to monitor and effectively manage waterways, and continuing to build collaboration between community, scientists, government and industry.
Leschenault Catchment Council employ a Program Manager and Project Officer to deliver stream restoration, sustainable agriculture and communications outcomes for the program supported by staff of the Department of Water, Environmental Regulation and the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development.
We are seeking someone with relevant experience that can pick up the role quickly and efficiently and work within a small team of dedicated environmental professionals.
