A Senior Scientist at EPA will:
reporting to the Senior Scientist – Water Technology you will provide expert advice, guidance, and deliver programs on water and wastewater treatment and engineering. You will inform regulatory and strategic decisions by the EPA about major infrastructure developments, and assess new and emerging technologies for water and waste water treatment. You will communicate complex, technical information to a range of audiences and lead the preparation of scientific and technical guidelines. This is a senior role for an experienced scientist that wants to contribute to the success of the EPA as it enters a new era of environmental protection in Victoria.
About You:
You will have a tertiary degree and post graduate qualification/s in applied science, environmental science, engineering or equivalent, preferably with specialisation in water and waste water treatment.
You have demonstrated knowledge and experience in environmental risk assessment.
You have the ability to systematically analyse data and evidence to provide authoritative advice on complex matters. You are an effective communicator and foster genuine partnerships across government, industry and academia.
Known for your ability to think outside the square , you have a genuine desire to learn, share knowledge and work effectively in a cohesive team.
