Environmental Sciences Internships at RTI International provide outstanding students the opportunity to collaborate with senior environmental scientists on multi-disciplinary research efforts to address critical social sciences and environmental issues in the U.S. and around the world. Interns also benefit from access to RTI-sponsored professional development trainings, internship activities, and leadership opportunities.
Areas of Interest
We are accepting internship applications, with start and end dates flexible. Positions are unpaid, can be part- or full-time and are located at RTI’s offices in Research Triangle Park (RTP), NC or Washington, DC. Interns participate in multidisciplinary project teams conducting research to review and summarize information, develop analytical tools and software, analyze complex issues, and write papers and reports.
Prospects should be a graduate-level or undergraduate-level (having completed their junior year coursework) student pursuing degrees in the fields of environmental science and engineering, environmental management and policy, or related fields. International students are welcome to apply.
Unpaid Internship Requirement
The intern must fulfill an academic requirement (e.g. course credit, practicum, etc…) or obtain outside funding, specificallly for the unpaid internship.
