Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and one or more years of research experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and work experience. Grade ND1 . Wage Minimum $15.41 / hr. Preferred Qualifications

Experience in basic molecular biology techniques, including DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, next generation sequencing.Position Description

Conduct molecular biology and next generation sequencing assays and assist with general day-to-day operations of a research laboratory. 

Will be responsible for performing molecular biology bench experiments, next generation sequencing library construction, and data interpretation

Will be expected to assist the PI with interfacing with collaborative teams across campus and general laboratory operations, including sample coordination, sequencing instrumentation operation, data transfer, and general lab operations.

Work ethic — motivated, diligent, industrious, and persistent in the workplace.

Critical thinking — ability to think through issues and identify appropriate problems.

Teamwork — ability to work with others and assist others and take directions from others in the interest of moving processes and programs to the desired outcome.
