Responsibilities

-Supervises the Water Operations Group including civil and electronics engineers, and electronics and hydrologic technicians.

-Directs the operations of the reservoir and river operations in the Kansas River Basin serving functions of irrigation, flood control, municipal and industrial water supplies, fish and wildlife and recreation.

-Supervises the operation and maintenance of the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System (SCADA) and HydroMet system for the regulation of gates, collection of data, and determines releases for flood control at eleven dams in the Nebraska-Kansas Area Office.

-Performs operational studies, writes and assembles the basic draft, graphs, and tables for use in the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
