DAI, the implementing partner of the United States Agency for International Development’s Water for Africa through Leadership and Institutional Support (WALIS) project has released a request for applications from eligible entities to propose projects aimed at strengthening gender and social inclusion (GESI) in WASH sector leadership and decision-making.
For the purposes of this request, strengthening GESI in the WASH sector includes: supporting women’s leadership in the WASH sector; increasing women and girl’s involvement in WASH decision-making; and/or helping to integrate gender and social inclusion into WASH policies, with the intention to improve involvement in WASH decision-making. It is anticipated that WALIS will provide grant(s) to one or more non-governmental organizations up to a maximum amount of US $200,000 for an implementation period of 8 months.
Applications are due Tuesday, July 23 at 5:00 pm EDT.
